Victoria_West_Dam=The Victoria West Dam is located in South Africa, close to the city of Victoria West. The dam stores water from the Dorpspruit River, and was upgraded in 1954. It has a reservoir capacity of 3,7 Mm³.

Arguably one of the most historical, yet tragical, events in the history of Victoria West was the great flood of 1909. The combined casualties of the 1871 and 1909 floods led to the construction of the dam wall which was completed in 1918.
