Groothoek_Dam=The Groothoek Dam is located in South Africa, close to the city of Dewetsdrop. The dam stores water from the Kgabanyare river. It has a reservoir capacity of 11,8 Mm³.<p>Bulk (purified) water from the Groothoek dam is pumped to the Blydskap reservoir, from where it is gravity fed to the Motlatla reservoir and thereafter to the OK reservoirs.
Due to inadequate yield of the Groothoek system (4,4 Ml per day), Bloem Water was requested in 1996 to provide an augmentation system from their Welbedacht supply to Botshabelo.
